Hippodrome Hyeres
Hippodrome Hyeres is a horse-racing track in Hyères, Var, France. It opened in 1931, at the 269 Rte de Giens.
History
In 1931, the association of the Société Hippique du Var commenced managing the Hippodrome De La Plage (Beach Racecourse), located by the sea, Hyères, on the Var coast, near the marina of the resort. It is at the 269 Rte de Giens, 83400 Hyères, France. It organizes twenty meetings from April to October, dominating trotting races with flat races and obstacles. They also have a training center. It is also known as Hippodrome Hyeres.
Track Details
The home covers 20 hectares, which can accommodate some 2000 spectators. It has two tracks. The first is for gallop race, a grass track that is 1500 meters long, including 450 meters of straight line and a width of 17 meters. The second is a pozzolana track for trotting, 1200 meters, 400 meters right line trot, a width of 20 meters, and rope on the right.
Catering facilities are the panoramic restaurant (200 seats), fast food, refreshment area, and the cafe course, a snack bar. The entrance fee costs € 5 each for an adult but is free for women and teenagers under 18.
