Racecourse Feurs
Racecourse Feurs is a horse-racing track in Feurs, France.
History
The track was originally located in Civens. Then in 1925, it was relocated to the heart of the city of Feurs under the aegis of the Marquis de Ponçins, which practiced trotting and galloping. Since then, the “Chantilly du Forez” has been the subject of improvements, and at present, only trotters tread its track.
Feurs racecourse is classified as 1st category. Between March to October, it hosts nine meetings, including a Quinte+, four days with national PMU in simulcasting, and a meeting with a + shift. Then every June, for one day, the racecourse celebrates. Quality regional walkers from all over France also come to walk on this track.
Track Details
The Feurs racecourse accommodates thoroughbred, Steeplechase racing types. It has a sand track, with 1300 meters rope on the left, 20 meters wide, and allows 18 horses to run per event with counterclockwise running direction. The grandstand has more than 1,000 seats. It also has the Equiforum, a 3-storey building with a playground, a floor with a meeting room that can accommodate 400 people, and its panoramic restaurant with 200 seats, equipped with flat screens. They also offer guided and unguided individual tours, coach access, and room hire.
