The Raven Run

Can we pad the bankroll some more in The Raven Run?

Last week we did a pretty nice job padding the Breeders’ Cup bankroll. If you are a TRACKING TRIPS member you swept both stakes at Keeneland and if you are a faithful reader of this column on AmWager you had Gina Romantica at a generous 9-2.

Ok first things first. We are going to be bringing you a lot of exclusive content you will not see anywhere else from the Breeders’ Cup, brought to you by AmWager where you can bet the big races and more. Make sure and subscribe to and watch Past The Wire TV to catch it all!

Next, if you do not have a reservation for a seat at our Breeders’ Cup seminar what are you waiting for? This is not Gulfstream; you can get shut out. All the info is RIGHT HERE and it will include a replay if you don’t attend the liv version. It is priceless.

Can we pad the bankroll a little more in The Raven Run at Keeneland?

I lean to a horse 12-1 on the morning line in a small field so the possibility is there.

Union Lake has speed from the rail but will have to carry it 7 not 6 furlongs. Johnny V has a knack for that, but I think she takes heat and gets beat.

Smash Ticket should provide plenty of that heat. She is fast and will likely gun with Carmouche. I don’t think 7 furlongs and the other speed help her at all.

Republic gets a nice set up in here and can benefit from that, but I think she is a cut below.

Last Leaf is a long shot with potential. She likes to win and knows how to do it. She likes 7 furlongs and gets the right set up. She will have to improve a bit, but it her second start in a new barn so that is a possibility.

Fingal’s Cave adds to the pace being contested and stalked.

Colorful Mischief is where I land. She should get a perfect stalking trip also getting the jump on the deeper closers. She loves 7 furlongs and had a rough trip between horses last out. I think she runs a big one in here.

Freedom Speaks goes turf to dirt and should also get a good trip. I like her, I just like Colorful Mischief better in here.

Wicked Halo is obviously capable. She is in really good form and will have to be dealt with and beat. I think we can do it.

Midnight Stroll should be running late but I think too late for the win.
